In 2010, O'Brother's tour schedule started with a heavy onset of dates that never relented. Mogwai, Deftones, Isis, Earth, Converge, Blonde Redhead, Oceansize, Clint Mansell, Torche, Radiohead, Sigur Ros and The Appleseed Cast are just a few of the artists that planted a seed that germinated while O'Brother was writing and recording Garden Window. As major bands reunited, disbanded, or put out a new album for the first time in years, O'Brother realized the impact these artists have had on their lives and music. O'Brother created their first full length album, Garden Window. Touché Amoré will enter the studio this winter to record their new album, to be released on Deathwish in early 2011. On the heels of these travels, Touché Amoré even managed to release a number of EPs, including splits with friends La Dispute and Make Do And Mend. ![]() Soon after, they hit the road with a wide variety of bands including Converge, Coalesce, Thursday, Envy, Bane, and more. The album was co-released by the 6131 and Collect (Geoff from Thursday's vinyl only imprint) record labels, and was praised by kids and press worldwide as one of the best releases of the year. After touring the West Coast in support of that release, they recorded their debut album ".To the Beat of a Dead Horse" in early 2009. Shortly after their formation in late 2007, Touché Amoré released their demo 7"EP on the No Sleep label. This collective outpouring of traditional hardcore anger and emotional hardcore openness ultimately coalesces into something beautiful, vulnerable, and refreshingly real. Within each song they build an awe inspiring musical tension while impassioned vocalist Jeremy Bolm's shouts resonate, ripe with intellectual introspection. From the first strikes of their angular yet melodic chords, it's apparent that Touché Amoré have awoken something long since forgotten in the hardcore/punk genre. Touché Amoré are a thought provoking, passionate hardcore/punk band from Los Angeles, California. The band's latest effort Blue Sky Noise was release in April of 2010. Lots of touring followed, including Warped Tour dates, and the album steadily sold close to an impressive 100,000 copies.Ī spot on the 2007 Coachella festival led into the late May release of Circa Survive's follow-up, On Letting Go. After Green and Frangicetto discovered like minded band mates in second guitarist Brendan Ekstrom, bassist Nick Beard, and drummer Steve Clifford, Circa Survive recorded their debut album, Juturna (named after a Roman goddess), for Equal Vision Records in 2005. Philadelphia's Circa Survive was formed by former Saosin vocalist Anthony Green with guitarist Colin Frangicetto - both of them veterans of the local emo and hardcore scenes looking to indulge in the rule-breaking freedom of the neo-progressive movement of the mid-2000s.
